Wow, it has been way too long since i've updated here. It's been an eventful month (month, wow how time flies!)
Here's the rundown:
Tues 21st June - bub went to daycare for the first time for three hours. I was so sad leaving her! She was fine though - played with the others, had something to eat, had a nap. She cried her little eyes out when she saw me come to get her, but was really good up until then, apparently!
Wed 22nd June - first tooth came through! It was a bottom one, followed two or three days later by the other bottom one. I've been thinking she was teething for months now, so it was good to see them finally cut through. She was horrid whilst getting them - minimal sleeping, grumpy, cold like symptoms and flushed cheeks. She's now biting me occasionally when feeding which is so painful :(
Fri 24th - day care again, for three hours in the morning. Again, did pretty well but wanted to be held by the carers most of the time.
Tues 28th - went to a friends while I went to work for a few hours. She did so well, and A (our friend) even managed to get her to sleep! Bonus!
Fri 1st July - daycare again for the morning only.
I'm teaching an extra class for four weeks, so she needs to go into care for those lesson - just a few hours on a Tuesday and Friday. It's actually really affordable when I get all the rebates, but I am TIRED, working almost full time again, and I miss her those days. Oh well, two weeks to go and then I can go back to having time off! The other bad thing about working more means I miss out on mums group for those weeks, but I still catch up with other mums for coffee on other days, so I still get some mum talk.
The other HUGE achievement is that she started crawling! My dad tells me we shouldn't be excited about this, but it's hard not to be :) She did her first proper crawl on Wednesday July 6th, and after a couple of days break when she apeared to forget how, she has been unstoppable. It's pretty cute. I do feel a bit bad though as she gets red knees from crawling on our hardwood floors - I need teeny knee pads for her!
Will continue this later - better get back to work ;)
Note: apologies for typos. Will try and proof read later.
